FAQ:
How is the Worship?
The Worship is refreshingly different, incredibly intense and not for the faint of heart! Its a blend of traditional gospel, contemporary worship and free flowing worship, experienced throughout the audience.
What should I expect from your teacher?
Our teacher is to be experienced. He is an excellent teacher, a strong and powerful preacher, a practical life coach, counselor, and God's Prophet! For more on our pastor, check out this site: www.shermancoaching.com and connect with him on social media.
What will I hear?
Using practical example from scriptures, our pastor draws out content that challenges the listener to "Be" the change they want to see. It's a word that provokes thought and invites the listener to be a part of the Solution. Bring a notepad and experience pure inspiration!
What kind of people?
At covenant we foster relationships that look and feel like “Family”. We want to represent the best of what family is to mean. Our Family is made of real people, with real issues, looking for real answers, so we've committed to "love" each other. It helps us navigate the personal conflicts that arise, it allows us to be sensitive when our family is overtaken in shameful mistakes, and it aides us in offering constructive criticism that makes for personal growth!
How should I dress?
We really mean it when we say, “come as you are!" The majority of our congregants aim for the "business casual" look, yet you will find people dressed in business suits and others comfortable in their shorts and t shirts! We pride ourselves in hosting a judgment free atmosphere, so we're confident you'll fit right in!
The Vision:
Our vision is to be a "one-stop-shop" for life. We envision a ministry campus with stunning curb appeal, a center of hope and beacon of light in our community. Sparing no details we will build our campus. The grounds will consist of a beautiful prayer labyrinth. a safe and secure play area for our children, recreation for our youth and young adults, and the best community garden the area has seen. We envision a ministry with community enrichment programs and training that build the next generation of social reformers. A ministry campus that inspires our community and makes our city proud! We envision a ministry that provides balanced teachings that promote wellness. A ministry that confronts the hard subjects with grace and brings real solution to problems the people face. We envision a movement that transcends the barriers of religion & church, tradition & culture, race & politics and brings the world to better and more perfect understanding of what it means to be dear children of GOD!
The mission is best expressed in this core value:
S-serve the people first
C-concentrate on our strengths
O-outsource where needed
R-resolve conflict promptly
E-evolve, encourage, empower
